Case Studies - Framed Shaker 2
Hand Painted Duck Egg Blue And Walnut

The love of walnut was an instant choice, however, although the room size could take it, an entire kitchen made from walnut was just a bit too heavy.

Zoe likes to mix wood with other materials. Wood is calm, interesting and has natural beauty, but on mass can be a strong statement which requires minimal dressing.

The other element particularly liked for this kitchen was the granite. Its incredible variation of colour required a plainer canvas to show its beauty. The farrow and ball blue green paint was the perfect choice.

Walnut elements were carefully placed for a balanced colour scheme. Drainer shelves were created from walnut and stainless steel, a practical solution for a busy family kitchen. The mixer lift will also prove invaluable.

A relaxing, open, family kitchen was created that, although in a large room with tall ceiling, feels cosy.
